Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within our mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting practice. The role supports growth across North America with flexible remote options and periodic travel for field activities and client engagements.

You will lead geochemical characterization programs, predictive modeling, and biogeochemical treatment projects while mentoring professionals and helping advance our technical services for mining clients.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in geochemistry or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
Demonstrated expertise in managing technical consulting projects.

Responsibilities

Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste, mine water, and biogeochemical processes.
Interpret geochemical, environmental, hydrogeological, and biogeochemical datasets.
Conduct and oversee predictive geochemical and hydrogeochemical modeling studies.
Lead design, construction, operation, and interpretation of laboratory testing programs.
Review analyses and deliverables by junior staff.
Prepare technical reports and client deliverables with high quality.
Ensure technical quality and consistency across projects.
Contribute to industry advancement via publications and conferences.
