Job summary

Eversource Energy in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Gas Maintenance and Construction Supervisor to oversee field crews and contractors in the operation, maintenance, and construction of the gas distribution system. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate work packages, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery across MA/CT/NH as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field.
• Five or more years in Gas Distribution or field service operations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Motor Vehicle Operator License required.
• Must obtain and maintain Operator Qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage gas field workload with coordination.
• Supervise in-house crews and contractors on the gas system.
• Communicate with customers and officials about construction.
• Act as on-scene supervisor for outages and classify gas leaks.
• Participate in on-call rotation and supervise union crews.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance with company standards.
• Prepare work packages with permits, dig safe, drawings.
• Monitor workload to maximize productivity and meet SLAs.
• Investigate disciplinary actions when required.
• Assist in hiring panels for field employees.
• Review and approve billing as per contract.
• Wear SCBA and PPE as required.
