Job summary

Eversource Energy in Auburn, MA is seeking a Gas Maintenance and Construction Supervisor to plan, schedule, and oversee field crews and contractors across its gas distribution system.

You will supervise on-call rotations, respond to outages, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, coordinate permits and drawings, and engage with customers and officials. Travel between MA/CT/NH may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related discipline.
• 5+ years in Gas Distribution, or Field Service design/installation or utility operations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the Gas Maintenance and Construction field workload with coordination and scheduling.
• Supervise in-house crews and contractors engaged in gas distribution operations.
• Communicate with customers and community officials about utility construction and service delivery.
• Serve as on-scene supervisor during outages and classify gas leaks; ensure procedures are followed.
• Participate in supervisory on-call rotation and direct unionized crews.
• Maintain safety by conducting weekly safety meetings and enforcing procedures and laws.
• Provide complete work packages with permits, dig-safe authorization, drawings, and instructions.
• Monitor workloads to maximize productivity and control costs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in hiring panels and review billing for accuracy.
