Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks a Gas Maintenance and Construction Supervisor to lead field crews and contractors in the operation, maintenance, and construction of its gas distribution system across the Northeast. You will coordinate outage responses, ensure adherence to procedures, and communicate with customers and officials.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years’ experience in gas distribution or related fields, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in Gas Distribution, and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers or utility operations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and manages the Gas Maintenance and Construction field workload through coordination and scheduling.
• Supervises in-house crews and contractors engaged in the operation, maintenance and construction of the gas distribution system.
• Communicates with customers and community officials concerning all aspects of utility construction, operations, maintenance and service delivery.
• Acts as on-scene supervisor to outages; responds to gas leaks and ensures procedures are followed.
• Participates in the supervisory on-call rotation and directs the work of unionized field crews.
• Ensures safety and compliance with Company standards, laws and procedures; conducts weekly safety meetings.
• Prepares and delivers complete work packages including permits, dig safe authorization, drawings, etc.
• Monitors workload to maximize productivity, control costs, and meet service level agreements.
