Job summary

Progressive Leasing is seeking a Lead Engineer - Full-Stack (Remote) to own architecture and delivery of web and API solutions. You will guide a distributed team across time zones and drive AI-first, BFF-centric design aligned with product goals.

You will mentor engineers, review code, and ensure scalable, secure, accessible software, while shaping technical strategy for a fast-growing fintech platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years in full-stack development.
• Experience with AI-first engineering and usage of Claude, Co-Pilot, and other tools.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design principles and UI/API architecture.
• Proven full-stack capability — comfortable owning or collaborating on BFF / API layers.
• Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform development including mobile and responsive UI.
• Experience developing high-transaction, high-throughput systems.
• Ability to lead distributed teams across time zones with accountability.
• CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and open-source technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, quality, and delivery of web features end-to-end.
• Lead a distributed engineering team across time zones.
• Drive AI-first engineering patterns and LLM integration.
• Review code, conduct root cause analysis of production issues, and ensure reliability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability for all layers.
