Job summary

State Farm seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive the Hercules Cloud Contact Center – Quality Management product. You will lead hands-on development across full-stack applications on AWS, partnering with product, architecture, and UX to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will mentor engineers, establish standards, and incorporate Generative AI capabilities with guardrails and human-in-the-loop workflows to coach agents effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years hands-on full-stack software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Strong backend with Node.js, Java, or Python including REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript including React development patterns.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership for design, development, testing, deployment, and operation of a modern full-stack app on AWS.
• Lead solution design across React/TypeScript frontend, Node.js and Java APIs, AWS services, and data platforms.
• Translate product requirements into scalable, secure, resilient technical solutions.
• Design intuitive UX for workflows involving transcripts, audio, evaluations, insights, and coaching.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services in Node.js and Java.
• Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS and appropriate architectural patterns.
