Job summary

firstPRO, Inc is seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage daily accounting operations, payroll, tax filings, and financial reporting for our organization. This hands-on role requires independence and accuracy while supporting company leadership.

Responsibilities include month-end close, bank reconciliations, ADP payroll processing for multiple states, tax filings, and collaboration with the CPA on year-end tasks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting experience.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll (PA, NJ, DE, MD) with ADP preferred.
• Experience filing sales and use tax returns across multiple states.
• ERP/accounting software experience; Dynamics 365 Business Central strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage accounting operations with accuracy.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and manage daily transactions, deposits, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Process semi-monthly, multi-state payroll through ADP, including payroll entries and 401(k) deductions.
• Calculate sales commissions and process employee expense reports.
• Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns and other required tax filings.
• Maintain accounting records and posting periods in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Coordinate year-end schedules, 1099s, W-2 reviews, insurance audits, and financial documentation for the company's CPA.
• Assist the CEO/CFO with financial analysis, compliance reporting, and process improvements.
