Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and assist with daily operations. You will ensure excellent customer service by guiding cashiers, resolving issues, and maintaining store standards.

The role requires 1–2 years of cashiering with leadership training, a flexible schedule, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Retail experience and a high school diploma are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience plus leadership training.
• Flexible schedule that can include nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and the ability to represent the brand as a role model.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Ability to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, and stay organized.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and push carts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Proactively assist at registers and provide direction to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers; take disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and security, monitor supplies, and support loss prevention.
• Contribute to a fast-paced environment and exceptional customer service.
