Job summary

Cavender’s in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Head Cashier to lead front-end operations and deliver Best of the WEST customer service. You will train cashiers, process transactions accurately, stock and merchandise, and ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Ability to train and coach associates while promoting a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Regularly lift, move, and position merchandise during shifts.
• Safely use store equipment per company policies and age requirements.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender’s Culture and Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting and engaging customers.
• Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and other POS transactions.
• Ensure merchandise accuracy and proper display according to standards.
• Promote programs and suggest complementary merchandise.
• Provide accurate, courteous responses to product and pricing inquiries.
• Train and support new and existing cashiers on POS procedures and policies.
• Assist leadership by monitoring front-end operations and addressing cashier questions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked sales floor; recover displays and perform housekeeping.
• Ensure items are stocked and located per company standards.
• Remain attentive to store safety and report concerns promptly.
• Show up on time and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist with merchandising updates, price changes, and special orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
