We’re looking for a Lead Front Desk Associate who enjoys helping people, supporting a team, and making daily operations run smoothly. This is an opportunity for someone who leads by example, takes ownership, and wants to make a meaningful impact on both the patient experience and the success of our clinics. If you’re a natural problem-solver who enjoys mentoring others, improving processes, and setting the standard for great service, we’d love to meet you!

What You'll Do
  • Lead and Support Your Team: Train new hires, coach teammates, and promote teamwork and consistent service across our clinics.
  • Create an Exceptional Patient Experience: Support patient check-in and check-out, resolve scheduling challenges, and help address patient concerns.
  • Keep Operations Running Smoothly: Lead front desk projects, improve processes, monitor office supplies, and maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant patient records.
  • Uphold Barbour Standards: Reinforce service expectations, provide constructive feedback, and partner with the Business Operations Manager to keep clinics running efficiently.
What Makes You a Great Fit

You’re passionate about helping people, developing others, and creating exceptional experiences. You lead by example, take ownership, and understand that every interaction is an opportunity to make a positive difference for our patients.

Why Join Barbour Orthopaedics & Spine?

At Barbour, the work you do matters. Every interaction is an opportunity to make a patient feel welcome, supported, and confident in their care. We value people who take ownership, work collaboratively, and look for ways to make things better.

As our Lead Front Desk Associate, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the patient experience, support your teammates, and make a difference in how our clinics operate every day.

Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience directly supervising or leading employees, including responsibilities such as performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, providing corrective feedback, and supporting employee development.

  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and mentor staff while holding team members accountable to established standards and expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of front desk operations, patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, leadership, and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, resolve conflicts, troubleshoot operational issues, and appropriately escalation concerns to leadership.
