Collins Aerospace in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical or Computer Engineer to design, implement, and verify advanced testbenches for high‑performance digital ASICs and FPGAs. You will drive signal processing and information assurance technologies for Mission Systems within the Microelectronics Technology team, onsite in Fort Wayne, IN.

You will lead verification efforts, develop testplans, and mentor engineers while collaborating across disciplines to deliver

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for a security clearance.
• Experience developing and simulating RTL designs using VHDL/Verilog in FPGA/ASIC development.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers within a team.

Responsibilities

• Verify environments architecture and design using SystemVerilog with OVM/UVM.
• Create written test plans, test cases, and coverage tracking.
• Develop testbenches for RTL verification using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
• Recommend tools and practices to improve ASIC/FPGA verification flow.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for new programs.
