Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and verify advanced testbenches for high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs, playing a key role in signal processing and information assurance for Mission Systems. This onsite role requires active U.S. security clearance and citizenship eligibility.

You will lead verification environments, develop test plans and coverage, and contribute to program estimates while guiding teams to successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent experience; 5 years minimum, or Advanced Degree with 3 years experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Experience with ASIC/FPGA RTL coding, simulation, and verification using VHDL and/or Verilog.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design verification environments using SystemVerilog with OVM/UVM.
• Create written test plans, test cases, and track code and functional coverage.
• Develop testbenches for RTL block verification using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits.
• Provide technical leadership for project verification teams, including work breakdown, planning, and status reporting.
