Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking a highly skilled Senior ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineer to join the Applied Research and Technology Microelectronics Technology team. You will develop verification environments for high‑performance FPGAs and ASICs, collaborate with design engineers, and mentor junior engineers onsite.

Requirements include a STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years, RTL verification experience using VHDL/Verilog,

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of experience or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance is required before start.
• Demonstrated RTL design and simulation experience using VHDL and/or Verilog in FPGA/ASIC environments.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and run RTL verification testbenches using VHDL/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with constrained-random testing, functional coverage, and assertion-based verification.
• Proficiency with Git or Subversion for version control.

Responsibilities

• Architecture and design of verification environments using SystemVerilog/OVM/UVM.
• Create test plans, testcases, and track coverage (code and functional).
• Develop RTL verification testbenches using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
• Collaborate with design engineers on ASIC/FPGA validation and integration.
• Provide mentorship and potential technical leadership for project teams.
