Job summary

Burford’s Construction is seeking a Foreman to lead vegetation management crews across our projects. You will enforce safety rules, schedule tasks, and communicate with customers to explain procedures and issues.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in pruning techniques, and the ability to coordinate equipment and personnel effectively. Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of supervisory experience, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and the flexibility to travel and work

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent experience in a foreman/lead role on utility projects.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus for customer interaction.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred for travel and operations.
• Willing to travel long distances and work overtime when required.
• Ability to perform rigorous physical labor and climb when needed.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safe working practices following company policies and procedures.
• Work safely while performing the task at hand.
• Responsible for efficiently scheduling crews and assigning their work.
• Maintain necessary records (written and computer records).
• Assists fellow workers in meeting project objectives.
• Maintain good customer and public relations.
• Communicate with customers to convey project issues and procedures.
• Lead, train, and coach team members on pruning techniques.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional and safe manner.
• Assist in safety checks and vegetation management tasks.
• Join storm restoration efforts when needed and adapt to changes.
• Ensure crew members carry out work as planned and adhere to the Line Clearance Contract.
