Job summary

Burford’s Construction seeks an experienced Foreman to lead vegetation management crews, enforce safety, schedule tasks, and mentor workers. The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and knowledge of pruning techniques and line clearance operations.

The candidate should be able to read/write effectively, speak English, and be willing to travel. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and coordination with customers and project teams on site.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Broad knowledge of climbing skills and all technical aspects of electrical line clearance operations.
• Excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safe working practices following company policies and procedures.
• Schedule crews and assign their work efficiently.
• Maintain necessary records (written and computer records).
• Lead, train, and coach team members on pruning techniques (natural & directional).
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely.
• Coordinate and inspect the work of crew members and ensure they follow work directives.
