Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Frederick, Maryland is seeking an experienced automotive/truck technician to perform repairs and maintenance on a fleet of newer cargo vans and box trucks. You will diagnose, repair, and support uptime, reporting to senior technicians.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, at least 3 years' experience, ASE certifications (minimum 3), ability to lift 50 lbs, and DOT medical clearance; this is an on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive or truck repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year
• Must have a complete set of tools required for automotive and truck repair
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
• Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs, including warranty work, on a fleet of newer cargo vans and box trucks with minimal technical supervision.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, air conditioning, and onboard computer systems.
• Act as a technical expert and mentor to other technicians, supporting diagnostics, repair strategies, and best practices. May also be required to drive Budget Trucks on public roads for testing, repair verification, or transport needs.
