Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking a skilled automotive technician to support Budget Truck operations in Charlotte, NC. You will perform repairs on newer cargo vans and box trucks, diagnose complex issues, and ensure uptime for customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive or truck repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive and truck repair and maintenance.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs, including warranty work, on a fleet of newer cargo vans and box trucks with minimal technical supervision.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, air conditioning, and onboard computer systems.
• Act as a technical expert and mentor to other technicians, supporting diagnostics, repair strategies, and best practices.
• Drive Budget Trucks on public roads for testing, repair verification, or transport needs when required.
• Keep vehicles operating safely and efficiently, reducing downtime and supporting fleet availability.
