Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Supervisor, Fleet Services to lead mechanics and vendors, plan and schedule maintenance of cars, trucks and equipment, and ensure safety rules and HR policies are followed in daily operations.

The role emphasizes coaching, performance reviews, record keeping, and coordinating with customers and other departments to meet goals, control costs, and raise productivity across fleet operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree in Automotive or Diesel Technology or related field preferred.
• Five+ years of relative experience, preferably as a Journeyman Automotive Mechanic with supervisory aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, plan, organize, and evaluate maintenance work by Fleet Services employees and/or vendors.
• Supervise, train and appraise employees; conduct safety meetings and maintain records.
• Enforce safety rules and perform Job Behavioral Observations with crews.
• Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, and other departments; monitor for timely completion.
• Identify improvements to control costs and raise productivity in Fleet operations.
