Poutrix is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our US Places Design & Engineering team. This role involves collaborating with various professionals on facility design projects, including federal projects, while leading the fire protection discipline through all phases of multiple projects.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or fire protection engineering and possess a Fire Protection Professional Engineering Licensure. A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $155,000 is offered, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and 401K.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Deep knowledge of life safety codes.
• An advanced technical understanding of fire alarm and suppression systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff.
• Develop budgets, proposals, and project plans.
• Conduct fire protection site surveys and data collection.

Skills

Fluency in design and modeling software

Strong communication skills

Knowledge of life safety codes

Extensive experience with IFC design packages

Education

Bachelor of Science in mechanical or fire protection engineering
