Job summary

Larson Design Group in the United States seeks a Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) to design and oversee fire protection systems for commercial and government facilities. You will prepare proposals, complete system designs, perform site evaluations, and manage testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience; DoD-related experience preferred.
• Fire protection engineering knowledge and familiarity with QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Participates in design, construction, and testing/commissioning of fire protection and life safety systems.
• Oversees code analyses and design of fire alarm, detection and suppression systems.
• Prepares construction documents and cost estimates; supports proposal development.
