Job summary

Poole Fire Protection, Inc. is seeking a creative and innovative fire protection engineer to support our growing Fire Protection Team.

The successful candidate will design fire suppression, detection/alarm and life-safety systems, and perform field construction inspections and acceptance testing. This role coordinates projects, oversees scope, schedule and budget, and interacts with architects, contractors and owners to explain code requirements, present optimal design solutions, and ensure

Qualifications

• Minimum five years experience in fire protection preferred.
• PE license in fire protection preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA and IBC standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction documents; apply NFPA standards to design/layout.
• Prepare design analyses including fire hazard classifications and egress provisions.
• Advise architects, contractors, and owners on code requirements and best solutions.
• Perform field investigations and witness acceptance testing; manage scope, schedule, and budget.
