Job summary
Johnson Controls in Houston is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, troubleshoot and service fire alarm, access control and CCTV systems at customer sites. You will handle panel work, device replacements, and networked alarm configurations while coordinating with field resources.
This role requires reading blueprints and schematics, performing rigorous safety practices, and providing timely service.
Qualifications
- Five+ years of documented experience in commercial fire alarm installation.
- FAL Fire Alarm License or ability to obtain.
- Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
- Ability to perform physical labor and climb/install in challenging areas.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Install and program integrated security and fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair, respond to service requests.
- Participate in after-hours service program when required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specs, and manuals.
- Supervise installation to meet specs and safety rules.
- Complete certification courses and required documentation.
