Job summary

Grant Thornton in Los Angeles is seeking a Financial Due Diligence Director to lead buy-side and sell-side engagements for middle-market transactions, coordinating cross-functional teams and international colleagues to drive value.

You’ll manage engagements from start to finish, analyze data for earnings quality and working capital effects, mentor staff, and lead business development while meeting billing targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA or related license/certification preferred.
• 10+ years of related work experience in a cross-industry national context.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, and M&A.

Responsibilities

• Lead buy-side and sell-side transactions for our client base, including corporate clients, private equity groups and lenders.
• Manage engagements throughout the transaction lifecycle and coordinate other Grant Thornton capabilities.
• Serve as the day-to-day point person on engagements; lead meetings with clients and target management.
• Plan, direct and complete financial due diligence for financial and strategic buyers across industries.
• Draft reports to socialize findings around earnings quality, net working capital and business performance.
