Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Financial Due Diligence Senior Associate to work on middle-market transactions with experienced professionals delivering advisory services that validate and create value across the transaction lifecycle.

Your day-to-day includes leading buy-side and sell-side engagements, performing due diligence on income and balance sheet items, and drafting QOE reports. Expect collaboration with partners, mentoring of associates, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 2–6 years of related work experience in a consulting practice on cross-industry clients.
• CPA preferred or CPA in process preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, SEC reporting, and M&A.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly growing practice.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, including carve-outs.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures across capital markets.
• Conduct financial due diligence on income statement and balance sheet.
• Lead questions and proposed adjustments from key risks and drivers.
• Lead analysis on operating data, net working capital, debt and debt-like items.
• Draft reports including Quality of Earnings highlighting financial findings.
• Collaborate with partners on proposals and business development calls.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours; supervise and mentor associates.
• Assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
