Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a Financial Due Diligence Senior Associate to support middle-market transactions. You'll perform buy-side and sell-side engagements, deliver Quality of Earnings reports, and help clients validate and optimize value throughout the transaction lifecycle.

You will lead analyses of income statements and balance sheets, mentor associates, and collaborate with partners on proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 2–6 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function.
• CPA preferred or CPA in process preferred.
• Strong knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, M&A or transaction advisory.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing carve-outs and similar services.
• Help organizations realize value in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; support capital market transactions.
• Perform financial due diligence on key areas of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
• Formulate questions and propose adjustments based on key risks and drivers.
• Lead analysis on operating data, net working capital, debt, and debt-like items.
• Lead initial drafts of reports including Quality of Earnings for clients.
• Create tailored transaction advisory reports on issues like normalized earnings and debt considerations.
• Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours; supervise, train and mentor associates.
• Assess performance of associates for engagement and year-end reviews.
