Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician III to lead crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance, and troubleshoot complex substation equipment. You will support engineers and project teams during commissioning and critical field operations, ensuring safety and quality on every site.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical field service, NETA III certification, and a proven track record with LV/MV/HV equipment, transformers, switchgear, and protective relays.

Qualifications

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Criminal background check required
• Able to work overtime and travel
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution of testing, inspection, and maintenance of LV/MV/HV equipment.
• Perform advanced testing and diagnostics on circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues using schematics and diagrams.
• Direct repair, replacement, and maintenance activities to restore equipment functionality.
• Support installation and commissioning activities, including functional testing and verification.
• Review and ensure accuracy of field documentation and test reports.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers, project managers, and crews.
• Mentor and train junior technicians on best practices.
