Job summary

Electric Power Systems in Boise, Idaho seeks a seasoned Field Technician III to lead field crews, perform advanced testing on substation equipment, and troubleshoot complex systems. The role supports engineers during commissioning and critical field operations.

You will mentor junior technicians, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with project teams on daily field activities to drive efficient execution across Data Centers, Utilities, and Industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology, or Military experience preferred.
• 5+ Years Relevant Industry Experience.
• NETA III Certified.
• Industry Certification Programs preferred (Infrared, Corona, Oil Analysis, Manufacturers, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and enforce safe work practices.
• Lead field execution of testing, inspection, and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Perform advanced testing and diagnostics on circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, batteries and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues using schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers, project managers, and crews to ensure efficient execution.
• Mentor and train junior technicians, providing technical guidance.

5+ Years Relevant Industry Experience

Excellent written and verbal comms

Education
