Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Survey Technician to support land surveying, engineering, and construction projects. You will lead field crews, perform precise field data collection, and prepare CAD drawings using Civil 3D, ensuring data integrity and project alignment.

The role requires 2+ years of field surveying, GPS and Total Station experience, and willingness to travel to various project sites. You will work in a hands-on field environment with opportunities for growth amid multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of field surveying experience.
• Hands-on field surveying on construction projects.
• Proficiency with GPS equipment for land surveying.
• Experience operating total station instruments for precise measurements.
• Ability to perform field surveying tasks with instrument setup, stakeout, data collection.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand needs and expectations for survey deliverables.
• Lead field crews and ensure accuracy, safety and efficiency on site.
• Perform field data collection and quality control checks.
• Prepare CAD drawings and survey documents using Civil 3D.
• Conduct deed and survey research to inform planning decisions.
• Travel to project sites and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Maintain organized field notes and project documentation.
