Job summary

AEI Consultants is seeking a Survey Field Technician to join our Land Surveying and Mapping division. The role offers a flexible/remote arrangement in the Southeast and supports a diverse range of surveying projects across the United States.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of surveying experience, familiarity with AutoCAD, and a willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per trip. Strong communication skills and the ability to work outdoors in various climates are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field surveying experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
• Experience with ALTA surveys preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the United States (1-2 weeks per trip).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and surveying measurements.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Gather field survey data using robotic equipment.
• Perform ALTA surveys.
• Compute and determine legal descriptions of property boundaries.
• Operate survey instruments for topographic, ALTA, boundary, construction projects.
• Locate land by measuring and calculating points, elevations, lines, angles and contours.
