Job summary

Nederveld Inc. is seeking a Full Time Land Surveying Field Technician to support field crews in completing land surveying projects. You will assist with field operations, equipment setup/teardown, marker placement, and path brushing while reading plans for project work.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel as part of regular duties. Standard hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with potential for additional hours based on workload.

Full Time Land Surveying Field Technician

A Survey Field Technician will assist and work with a crew in the field to complete land surveying projects.

Essential Functions

• Work with 1-2 person crew in the field to assist on land survey projects
• Assist with setup and teardown of survey instrumentation, placing of survey markers, and brushing of paths
• Read and interpret construction plans for project work

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Other Requirements

Valid Driver’s License in good standing and demonstrates safe driving habits.

Position Type/Expected Hours

This is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is permitted, but s/he must be available during the standard work hours of 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional hours may be requested based on workload.

Physical Demands

This position is a combination of fieldwork, travel-related work, and sedentary work. An employee is regularly required to drive, stand, sit, walk, reach, type, talk, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds. An employee may also be required to traverse wooded and/or uneven terrain, enter structures, use ladders, walk on roofs, enter small spaces, and work in various weather conditions.

Travel

Regular travel will be required as a part of the Survey Field Technician job.
