Actalent is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field surveying operations on construction, boundary, and topographic projects. You will collect accurate field data, operate survey equipment, and coordinate with office staff to ensure safe, efficient project completion.

The role requires 2+ years of surveying experience, proficiency with GPS and total stations, strong attention to detail, and a high school diploma (certifications a plus). On-site work in Omaha, NE with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of surveying experience, including construction staking.
• Proficiency with modern survey equipment and data collection software.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• High school diploma required; surveying certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction staking and topographic surveys.
• Operate GPS, robotic instruments, total stations, and data collectors.
• Read and interpret construction plans and project specifications.
• Transfer field data to office staff for processing.
• Coordinate staking requests with clients and project teams.
• Complete daily time tracking, equipment inspections, and safety documentation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
• Maintain survey vehicles and equipment in good working condition.
