Job summary

DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC is seeking individuals to apply land surveying knowledge to assist in planning, implementing, and reviewing survey tasks. The role involves using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation to process topographic, boundary, and route surveys and deliverables, under supervision.

The candidate will perform field surveys, prepare field files, and coordinate with engineers and surveyors while adhering to CAD standards and safety requirements. A relevant degree or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in a relevant field or High School Diploma (or equivalent).
5 years of field surveying experience preferred.
Ability to learn processing of survey data in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record.

Responsibilities

Performs boundary, topographic and construction layout surveys, solo and in crews.
Research land records, deeds, subdivision maps, easements, etc.
Prepare/review field files; process data in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Prepare calculations, records, drawings and sketches.
Assist with base and detailed project drawings as required.
Keep supervisor informed of key issues and project scope.
Coordinate with engineers/surveyors on project requirements.
Maintain CAD standards and location/design manuals.
Complete other survey tasks as assigned; work safely per requirements.
