Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent to oversee all field activities on large projects in the Grand Rapids region. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, ensure quality, and enforce safety rules to achieve successful project completion.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of leadership in commercial construction, strong communication, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of commercial construction leadership experience.
• Experience leading multiple projects and coordinating trade contractors.
• OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR certifications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all field activities for large projects or multiple smaller projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, sequencing, and site safety rules.
• Maintain project schedule and ensure quality control.
• Lead safety programs and enforce safety compliance on site.
• Prepare daily reports, manage trade submittals, and review progress.
