Job summary

Christman Company is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent for the Grand Rapids region to lead field activities on large commercial projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage the project schedule, ensure safety and quality, and communicate risks and opportunities to the team.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of leadership in commercial construction, a construction or engineering degree, and proficiency with project controls, Procore, BIM, and MS Office.

Qualifications

Ten years of commercial construction leadership experience on multiple projects or one large complex project.
Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or engineering plus related training/experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee all field activities for large or multiple projects, coordinating subs and sequencing work.
Maintain project schedule, safety rules, and quality control at site.
Lead safety program and report incidents; enforce corrective actions and site discipline.
Plan site logistics, coordinate with project manager and trade contractors, and drive progress meetings.
Review construction documents for constructability and propose efficient methods while ensuring contract compliance.
