Job summary

Schindler Group in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Field Superintendent for Existing Installations to lead servicing and repair of elevator and escalator units, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction on each project.

The role involves supervising field personnel, coordinating maintenance, and supporting sales with estimates while maintaining cost efficiency and strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant field.
• Minimum 5+ years of technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance meets quality standards and contract requirements.
• Implement customer and company quality, performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Support sales in estimating service orders and scheduling.
• Manage project audit to ensure quality, safety, and completeness.
• Develop manpower planning and training for productivity and quality.
• Implement route management to optimize preventive maintenance with minimal manpower.
• Build teamwork and dedication to quality improvement among staff.
• Coordinate tooling requests to boost productivity.
• Maintain proactive relationships with local IUEC business agent.
• Advise Area management on competitor activity related to pricing and manpower.
