Job summary

Schindler Group in Philadelphia seeks a Field Superintendent for New Installations to lead elevator installation projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

You will manage a team of 12–20 technicians, coordinate schedules, liaise with contractors and customers, oversee safety compliance, and support project management with cost control and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical leadership or elevator industry
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, leadership experience with unions or trades

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a high-performing team of 12–20 field technicians while enforcing safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily project schedules, site readiness, parts ordering, and payroll accuracy.
• Monitor installation progress and drive efficiency through site visits and clear communication.
• Manage manpower with union representatives and address employee relations.
• Support sales and project management with bids, progress meetings, and issue resolution.
• Ensure all installations meet contractual, safety, and company requirements.
