Job summary

Flintco, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to supervise field crews and subcontractors from project start to finish. You will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing work to meet schedules and budgets while maintaining high workmanship standards.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of commercial construction management experience, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to read plans and specs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in commercial construction and management of field personnel.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of assigned crews or subcontractors from start to finish, guiding planning and execution to meet schedule and budget.
• Familiarize self with plans, specs, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and shop drawings.
• Determine work methods and equipment with input from Superintendent/Project Director.
• Enforce safety policies and organize safety meetings.
• Hire or discharge workers to ensure safe, efficient completion of work.
• Lead meetings with subordinates and subcontractors to coordinate work.
• Ensure accurate documentation including safety reports and payroll.
