Job summary

Flintco, LLC is seeking a Construction Supervisor to exercise direct supervision over assigned crews or subcontractors from start to finish, providing direction, leadership, and guidance to employees and subcontractors, assisting them in planning, coordination and execution of their work in order to complete the project in a timely and economical manner with high standards of workmanship.

• Supervise crews and subcontractors to complete work safely and on time.
• Interpret plans, specs, contracts, subcontracts, and shop drawings.
• Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Enforce safety policies and conduct safety meetings.
• Coordinate resources and equipment for project execution.

Responsibilities

• Work with Superintendent or Project Director in preparation of project schedule and budget.
• Become thoroughly familiar with the plans, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, and all documents related to the project.
• Assist Superintendent/Project Director to determine work methods and acquire appropriate equipment for the project.
• Understand and enforce company safety policies and organize safety meetings with employees and supervisors.
• Employ or discharge workmen and intermediate foremen as needed to ensure safe, efficient, economical, and timely completion of the work.
• Conduct meetings with subordinates, subcontractors and others to inform, coordinate and direct work.
• Assure accurate completion of all documentation including safety reports, payroll, and labor unit reports.
• Inspect the work to ensure conformity with contract documents and quality standards.
