Job summary

Qualifications

• Prepare detailed construction project plans, schedules and estimates.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, show drawings, and specs.
• Calculate quantities using a computer or calculator.
• Communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Prepare and update schedules, transmittals and submittals using software.
• Lead large teams and manage without heavy supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Manager in preparation of project schedule and budget.
• Become familiar with plans, contracts, purchase orders, drawings, and documents.
• Select methods and acquire equipment for the project.
• Enforce safety policies and lead safety meetings.
• Manage staffing, subcontractors, and ensure timely completion.
• Approve invoices and monitor job expenditures.
• Instruct supervisors and ensure quality per contract documents.
