Job Description

We are seeking experienced Lead Window Cleaners to lead a crew. Candidates should have experience in rappelling and aerial Rope Descent Systems (R.D.S.).

We value professionals and hard-working individuals trained in this physically demanding but rewarding field, which involves commercial exterior building maintenance. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, continuous learning of new skills and techniques, and a strong work ethic. Ongoing safety and job training are provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use Rope Descent Systems or scaffolding to access outside windows up to 500 feet for cleaning, or handle and maneuver up to 60’ of watered extension poles (~25 pounds) to clean third and fourth-floor windows from the ground.
• Set up and climb ladders to reach second and third-story windows.
• Work with or transport mildly abrasive, chemically-based cleaning solutions such as chlorine and ammonia.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Availability for overtime, and occasional weekend or night work if needed
• Valid Driver’s License (preferred)

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry approximately 50 pounds regularly and repeatedly throughout the workday, including carrying equipment up flights of stairs and fixed ladders.
• Work at heights up to 500 feet.
• Wear protective clothing and equipment such as latex gloves.
• Stand or walk for up to two hours at a time.
• Repetitively stoop, kneel, climb, and reach.
• Work outdoors in all seasons.
