Lead Field Service Engineer - Drives (multiple positions)

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

1. Perform a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure proper installation, service, and commissioning of products and services.
2. Provide technical support for project installation and commissioning, including maintenance, emergency breakdown support, and remote troubleshooting.
3. Diagnose problems onsite, determine resolutions, and implement corrective actions.
4. Develop documentation such as commissioning and maintenance procedures, daily logs, etc.
5. Lead installation and commissioning activities at customer sites.
6. Work independently and lead small teams.
7. Manage onsite projects and resolve customer issues to ensure satisfaction.
8. Assist in ensuring the technical integrity of GE drive systems under supervision.
9. Develop presentations and train customers on drive operations.
10. Coordinate with customer service, parts, repair, sales, and engineering teams to identify additional service opportunities.
11. Advise customers on upgrades, parts, and services to enhance productivity and promote sales.
12. Plan and coordinate maintenance and inspection activities.
13. Support engineering teams with customer projects and bidding processes.
14. Identify new business opportunities and develop offerings to improve equipment reliability and availability.
15. Promote maintenance service sales.
16. Provide on-call support for customer service calls.
17. Complete service reports and administrative tasks promptly.
18. Support marketing campaigns and business growth initiatives.
19. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications / Requirements

• No degree required; 5 years of field service/commissioning experience needed.
• At least 3 years experience with drive systems, including 2 years with Power Conversion drive systems (MV7000, SD7000, MV3000).
• At least 2 years experience with drive system controllers (PEC, PECe, CDC, RXi, P80i).
• Up to 85% travel to domestic and international sites, based on need.
• Position is remote with telecommuting permitted.
