Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) is seeking a structured and hands-on supervisor to lead field service start-up and commissioning across customer sites. You will mentor technicians, provide advanced troubleshooting, and act as the technical lead to ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery.

Travel up to 75% may be required to regional offices and customer sites. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of field service experience and strong teamwork, problem-solving, and safety practices,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems.
• Minimum 2 years field service experience, focusing on start-up/commissioning.
• Experience with switchgear, distribution and control systems preferred.
• Familiarity with advanced networking concepts preferred.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• LOTO procedures knowledge required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning at multiple customer sites, ensuring on-time completion.
• Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and training to field service technicians.
• Serve as technical lead with product expertise and advanced troubleshooting guidance.
• Travel to facilities for training, factory witness tests, and shop testing.
• Identify project risks and report to management for action.
• Close out jobs with punch lists and ensure paperwork deliverables are met.
• Coordinate with commercial and administration teams for scope adjustments.
• Ensure technicians have required tools, materials, and documentation.
• Report product or quality concerns and collaborate with production/engineering to address.
• Schedule additional field resources with Division/Field Service Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
