Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services in Midland, TX is seeking a senior Field Technician/Lead to operate compressor packages and gas processes, ment or others, and mentor field staff. You will work onsite with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in compression, production, or related field.
• Completed Kodiak SSE program, plus 3+ years in intermediate Field Technician role.
• Deep knowledge of gas processes and compressor packages (Waukesha/Ariel/Caterpillar).
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Reading, writing, and speaking English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates job activities following Kodiak procedures and goals.
• Serve as mentor and leader for field personnel.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Cultivate and maintain customer relationships.
• Inform Area Manager on personnel needs and budgeting inputs.
• Support area planning with inventory and parts forecasting.
• Ensure 98%+ mechanical availability of equipment.
• Maintain clean, presentable units and complete required reports.
• Provide guidance to field technicians and assist scheduling.
• Provide 24/7 coverage and participate in on-call rotations.
