Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking an intermediate Field Technician for our onsite Midland, TX operation. You will operate compressor packages, gas processes, and rental equipment with a focus on reliability and policy alignment.

The role includes backfilling and supporting other field positions as needed. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex repairs, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring 98%+ mechanical availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Kodiak’s SSE program.
• 1–2 years in an entry level Field Technician role.
• 3+ years compression, production, and equipment experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable MVR.
• Experience with compressor packages and related systems.
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Directs and performs field activities per Kodiak procedures.
• Troubleshoots repairs and overhauls on equipment.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Ensures adequate parts and communicates with Supply Chain.
• Maintains 98%+ mechanical availability of equipment.
• Provides 24/7 coverage and participates in on-call rotations.
• Completes required reports per operating procedures.
