Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to join our Minnesota team. You will perform advanced device configuration, programming, system commissioning, and customer training, building on Level I responsibilities to lead installation efforts.

The role requires hands-on field work, leadership within the crew, and coordination with project managers and customers. Experience with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance is desirable, with ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high/low voltage).
• Field experience from previous work.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VoIP).
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management or supervisory experience.
• Experience with service ticketing processes.
• 1+ year of knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• US driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I responsibilities following documentation.
• Maintain organization of project/service tickets with updates.
• Understand project scopes and ensure task accountability.
• Delegate tasks within team and foster collaboration.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and solicit feedback.
• Communicate with Project Coordinators/Managers/customers.
• Work with nurse call systems, access systems, and video surveillance.
• Pursue leadership development opportunities.
• Perform FAT of products before installation.
• Configure and commission systems, delivering reliable solutions.
• Accept additional duties as needed.
