Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in feed manufacturing, nutritional sciences, or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience leading and mentoring staff or managing a process or project.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to calculate figures and percentages, volumes.
• Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts.
• Ability to solve practical problems in variable situations.
• Ability to interpret various instructions and forms.
• Ability to use email and spreadsheets effectively.
• Experience with MainSaver program is helpful.
• Ability to build working relationships across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mixing, milling, and milling staff to ensure safety and quality.
• Direct ingredient receiving, grain drying, batching, pelleting, and grinding.
• Monitor QA testing and sanitation per protocol.
• Coordinate capital projects and budget planning.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and safety programs.
• Manage plant logistics for feed delivery and loadouts.
• Maintain accurate operational, inventory, and sanitation reports.
• Train/operate fork truck and skid loader as needed.
• Communicate with maintenance, procurement, dispatch, and customers.
• Promote a safe, environmentally responsible workplace.
