Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair facility and automation equipment within the DC. You will oversee routine preventive maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and coordinate with operations leadership to minimize downtime.

Minimum 5+ years in a similar role; strong knowledge of conveyor systems, lockout/tagout, and welding. Occasional overtime is required to support peak operations and shift handoffs.

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent preferred; additional related training is a plus.
5+ years of related experience in a similar role.
Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise; repairs on all mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and perform preventive maintenance/repairs to powered industrial equipment and conveyors.
Inspect building equipment such as air compressors, HVAC, plumbing/electrical.
Communicate with Facilities Manager and Operations leaders about repair status and impact on operation.
Lead/perform project work to support warehouse daily operations and coordinate with third party vendors.
Train maintenance team members as needed.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
