Job summary

Michaels is seeking a DC maintenance technician in Acton, California to maintain, install and repair facility equipment and automation within the distribution center.

You will perform preventive maintenance on powered industrial equipment and conveyors, repair building systems, weld as needed, and keep CMMS/work orders and inventory up to date. The role requires 1+ year of related experience, basic computer skills, ability to read drawings, and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience in a similar role.
• Experience in basic diagnostic and troubleshooting as well as repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Accurately interpret drawings, blueprints and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and preventive maintenance on powered industrial equipment and conveyor systems.
• Repairs/building equipment such as air compressors, HVAC, plumbing/electrical; welding as needed.
• Communicates with Facilities Manager and Operations on status and downtime.
• Performs project work to support warehouse operations and building projects.
• Maintains CMMS, work orders, and inventory.
• Other related duties as assigned.
