Job summary

Michels Corporation in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support the improvement of equipment and maintenance systems. The role requires 0-3 years of experience, mechanical aptitude, and basic plumbing and electrical knowledge. You'll assist in repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety with shop equipment. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of shop equipment.
  • Assist in the repair of HVAC systems and other equipment.
  • Provide emergency repairs and maintenance.
  • Assist with plumbing maintenance for water, gas, and oil.
  • Operate equipment such as lifts and forklifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of shop equipment and supplies. Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety
  • Assist in the repair of HVAC equipment, fixtures, systems, and other equipment at facility as required
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and basic repairs on overhead cranes and other equipment in shops and around the building
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and maintenance to shop equipment, with assistance
  • Assist with a variety of plumbing maintenance for water, gas and oil
  • Properly dispose of waste, used oil, aerosol, used filters and any other non‑biodegradable substances
  • Operate equipment such as lifts, forklifts, etc
Qualifications:
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
  • Prior experience with equipment operations
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team (desired)
