Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our DC-Berlin site. You will diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on powered industrial equipment, conveyors, and building systems to keep operations clean and safe.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance tasks, coordinating with vendors, training team members, and ensuring downtime is minimized. A high school diploma and 5+ years of related experience are expected; welding skills and forklift

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in a similar role.
• Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise.
• Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Ability to train others on maintenance processes.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform preventive maintenance/repairs to powered industrial equipment and conveyors.
• Repair building systems such as air compressors, HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Supervise and inspect teammates' work for quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate with Facilities Manager and operations leaders on status and impact.
• Lead project work to support warehouse operations and coordinate others.
